Pharmacy practice research, including medicines information supply to professionals and patients; adverse drug reactions, interactions and pharmacovigilance; risk management.
Postgraduate students currently supervised: MSc (4); DPharm (2) PhD (4).

Recent funding and research activities

• £45,500 from the Drug Safety Unit, Bursledon to investigate techniques of signal generation in pharmacovigilance; other grant-related work includes the supervision of students investigating the adverse drug reaction profile of second generation anticonvulsants in children, drug de-licensing and withdrawal decision analysis and pharmacovigilance techniques applied to herbal remedies.
• £65,000 (with Dr Jane Portlock) to model Healthy Living Community Pharmacies.
