Toddler Suite
The toddler suite has state-of the-art audio and video-recording facilities, but is more relaxed than the observation suite. It’s furnished with comfortable settees, high chairs, a playpen and baby changing facilities. It is used for research exploring child behaviour in a setting that mimics a living room.
Recent research using this laboratory investigated the early social and emotional development of young infants with Down syndrome in dyadic and triadic interactions, and compared aspects of this behaviour with that of typically developing infants.
