Profile

Background

I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in July 2009 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology with Criminology. During my degree, I received a Nuffield Foundation Science Bursary which enabled me to work with Dr Anne Hillstrom over the summer of 2008 on a project investigating the effect of transparency on recognition of overlapping objects. I also assisted Dr Lorraine Hope and Dr Anne Hillstrom with collecting data for their ‘Monitoring search activity in an eyewitness context: What can eye movements tell us about eyewitness performance?’ study. After graduating I spent four months at Ordnance Survey on a summer internship working as part of the Vernacular Geography Research team investigating the processing of place names.

Research

I joined the department in October 2009 as a Research Assistant working with Dr Lorraine Hope, Dr Fiona Gabbert & Dr Neil Brewer on their ‘Interviewing Eyewitnesses: Enhancing output quality and diagnosing accuracy’ project.
