Profile
The nature of my practice in the last 10 years has increasingly focused on historical sexual allegations, alleged false sexual allegations and miscarriages of justice. I have a long-standing academic interest in the interplay between psychology and the law. The reliability of evidence arising from long-term memory recall, therapeutically assisted memory, pseudo-memories and the impact on the investigative process and fairness of the trial has become the core of my work. I have been instructed to provide expert evidence on psycho-legal issues surrounding false memories in Jersey. My practice has spanned all parts of the United Kingdom, following referrals received from the British False Memory Society, Allegations Against the Falsely Accused (as it then was) and also False Allegations Against Teachers.
