Background
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, Registered as Psychologist Specialising in Psychotherapy (BPS) with Senior Practitioner Status. I work part time here at the University, and provide an independent psychological therapy practice specialising in medico-legal assessment. I have worked in the NHS Mental health Services.
Teaching responsibilities
I teach the BSc Psychology Year 3 Issues In Clinical And Health Psychology, Issues in Counselling and Clinical Psychology and a Cognitive Therapy module on the MSc Applied Psychology of Intellectual Disabilities. I supervise dissertations at BSc, Masters and PhD levels.
Research
My research interests include psychological effects of road traffic accidents, post trauma reactions, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, stress at work and quality of working life
