Background
Dave is head of technical services in the Psychology Department.

He joined the department in 1990 having trained as an electronics engineer and worked as a television service engineer. He's responsible for the management of the department's technical support team. He is also responsible for the running of the psychophysiology laboratory, the infant laboratory and the observation suite.

My duties include:

  • Management of the department's technical support team
  • Management of departmental equipment and resources
  • Strategic planning of departmental technical requirements
  • Managing technical budgets
  • Liaising with other departments & agencies on technical issues 
  • Technical representative on departmental committees 
  • Health and safety
