Stephen J PITCHFORTH BA MSc

As an economist with a background in the business environment Steve specialises in investment forecasting in the applied context of property development. The presentation of financial forecasts, sensitivity analysis and risk analysis are all important decision making tools for a property developer. Steve teaches students on both the undergraduate and post graduate programmes and provides them with the necessary financial skills that will allow them to make informed decisions on project financial feasibility.

Steve's research interests include; the use of probability in property valuation and simulation methods in property valuation. As an experienced tutor Steve has developed a number of stand-alone computer based teaching tools that guide students through this important subject area.

When not at his spreadsheets, Steve is an accomplished musician who plays and performs in an orchestra whenever time permits.
