Profile

Colin Briddick is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education and Continuing Studies. Originally a Lecturer in Further Education, ( Engineering) he has held a range of posts in FE including, Human Resource Manager, Head of Faculty, Science and Technology, Assistant Principal, Deputy Principal and Acting Joint Principal. He has held overall responsibility for Student Services, Estates, HR, and the oversight of a range of Academic Departments.

Colin has been a representative on Boards of Governance, Academic Boards, Boards of Studies, Staff Liaison with Trade Unions, Appraisal Negotiations, Leading Management on Negotiating Conditions of Service, together with a wide and varied knowledge of the FE sector.

Teaching

Colin has been involved in the organisation, planning, development and delivery of the PGCE ITT FE programme, both full-time and part-time. He is the current Admissions Tutor for the FT programme, and has acted as Programme Leader during staff absence. As well as teaching commitments Colin is the School Liaison Representative in supporting students who have identified learning difficulties and disabilities. He also supports the Head of School in appraising staff.
