X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer
X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometry is used to analyse the composition of rock and soil samples which are prepared as glass discs or pressed powder pellets. It is typically used to analyse the chemical composition of the sample through a range of 10 major elements (%) and a series of heavier trace elements (parts per million).
