General

I am geologist working at Department of Mineral Resources in Bangkok, Thailand. My main responsibility as being government officer is in the field of Geological hazard assessment in Thailand using remote sensing and GIS particularly in Landslide and coastal erosion problems.  I have been funded by the Thai government studying Master and PhD in area of geohazard assessment since 2007. I have particular interest in applied remote sensing and GIS for landslide assessment. 

Research

I am doing a research on the investigation of the potential of satellite remote sensing for improved landslide hazard assessment in a large scale of the Tien Shan Mountain, Kyrgyzstan. Emphasis is put on the application of remote sensing techniques for an inventory of landslide events together with landslide recognition and classification. With the various types of remote sensing data, landslide monitoring will be carried out as well. Due to the complex nature of the landslide phenomenon, information derived from remote sensing data has to be analysed in combination with additional landslide related data using Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques.
