Sam Oddie, Leanne Wilkinson and Catherine O'Callaghan have all been offered jobs with West Sussex County Council Children’s Services. There were over 100 applicants with 30 shortlisted candidates. Sam has been offered a post with Intensive Family Support in Bognor Regis complete with the bonus of the bursary, Leanne has been offered a post with Look After Children, again in Bognor Regis and Catherine has also been offered Looked After Children, this time in Horsham.

The interview was an hour long with 10 minutes for a presentation of their findings on a case study which was analysed for 30 minutes prior to the interview. Questions discussing supervision, time management, multi-agency working, and cases they have worked on during placement were asked with positive feedback received all round.

Catherine says she is “absolutely thrilled” after getting the offer. Both her and Sam were not expecting the job and saw it more of an opportunity to practice at interviews whilst still taking it seriously. Leanne says she is really looking forward to the job and now all she has to do is pass her final essay and dissertation and Sam cannot wait to start putting into practice the past three years!
