Garry Dix, Chemicals and Health Effects Advisor for CPL Aromas (Brixworth, UK), and student on the Professional Doctorate course at the School of Health Sciences and Social Work, University of Portsmouth, has had a poster accepted at the European Respiratory Society annual congress in Vienna later this year. His thematic poster is entitled: Chemical exposure and lung function in the fragrance industry: a multi-site cross-sectional study.
Dr Isobel Ryder said that “This important topic in the field of occupational health and safety in the fragrance industry is comparatively under-researched and Garry has made every effort to put his work into the public domain and inform practice.”
Garry has also achieved success with two other presentations this year:
20th April: Presentation to meeting of Respiratory Sciences Working Group (RSWG) at Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) office, Woodclliff Lake, New Jersey, US.
21st June: Presentation to meeting of Safety, Health and Environment Committee (SHE) at International Fragrance Association (IFRA) office, Brussels.
