PhD Student awarded Postgraduate and Early Career Researchers Bursary

Muhammad Hossain, a PhD student within the School of Health Sciences and Social Work, has received one of the ten Postgraduate and Early Career Researchers Bursaries available, allowing him to attend the ESRC Seminar Series 2012-14 on ‘Ageing, Race and Ethnicity’ that will be held in London, Swansea and Worcester.
This series of seminars are being organized by Brunel University, Swansea University and Worcester University. There will be five seminars (in the series) from Nov, 2012 until January 2014 and Muhammad has received a bursary that will cover £100 worth of travel and accommodation expenses for three of them.
In addition Muhammad is presenting a poster at the second seminar. The aim of the ESRC seminar series are to promote discussion across disciplines within the social sciences in order to gain a more complete understanding of experiences of later life within ethnic minority groups in contemporary society.
