Current Projects:
- Islamic parenting in the West: an analysis of Islamic parenting guidebooks written by Islamic religious leaders and educators for Islamic parents in the West
- Online Communities of Struggle and Hope: Social Work Service Users, Carers and Parents on the Web
Past Projects:
- I have recently completed a project that analysed Jewish Ultra Orthodox parenting guide books. I was especially interested in examining how these guidebooks integrate between Western modern psychological discourse and traditional Jewish sources.
Define best research/education experience:
Completing a series of studies on a religious minority struggling with sever social problems and being appointed as a government consultant to use this knowledge to make a change. Following that I have also co-directed a documentary series (broadcasted on national Israeli TV, Arte channel and many film festivals around the world) to further disseminate the knowledge gained through this research.
