This theme addresses sensory environments (e.g. the built environment, and the materials, components, and multi-faceted systems making up the environment). Areas within this theme include:
- quantifying the effects (of individual components or systems) of health and social care environments on health-related outcomes
- exploring the psycho-social effects of health and social care environments
- exploring methodologies for conducting research in the field of environmental design
- cross-disciplinary collaborations and networks in environmental design research.
