Profile
I joined the Centre for Radiography Education in April 2003.
Prior to working at the University, I was the Principal Superintendent Radiographer at Dorset County Hospital responsible for service delivery, and overall management.
Having trained and worked in London, I chose to specialise in trauma radiography and image interpretation and went on to gain a postgraduate qualification which enabled me to report on both the appendicular and axial skeleton in clinical practice. I maintain direct links with clinical practice through a contract held with a local Primary Care Trust Hospital.
Since joining the University I have undertaken the role of Deputy Clinical co-ordinator for the undergraduate students and clinical coordinator for the Foundation degree students studying Medical Imaging.
I teach foundation, undergraduate, and masters level students mainly in my specialist areas of interest and have recently completed the Postgraduate Certificate learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
