Incoming Exchange Students
Application
If you are an Erasmus student you will need to be nominated by your home institution in order to study with us. Please contact your Erasmus Co-ordinator in your home institution for the relevant paperwork: a University of Portsmouth Exchange application form and guidance notes. If you have any queries regarding your application please contact Erasmus.incoming@port.ac.uk.
If you are not an Erasmus applicant but wish to follow an Exchange programme please contact studyabroad@port.ac.uk
When your application has been received and processed you will receive a Certificate of Final Acceptance. If you are an International student please be aware that you may require a VISA.
Accommodation
All applicants who have a Certificate of Final Acceptance will be sent accommodation information, please note that we cannot guarantee a place in halls of residence. If you have any queries please contact student.housing@port.ac.uk
Your Curriculum/Studies
Once you have confirmed your curriculum with your home institution you will need to complete a Curriculum Choice Form with your preferred units from the School's choice lists. Please contact us on slasexchange@port.ac.uk for further information about the School's curriculum choice lists. Please note that we cannot guarantee you will be able to study your first choices.
Your timetable will be created during induction week. Due to the range of units available, you may experience timetable clashes; there will be a session in induction week to assist you with your timetable and any other queries.
Registration
You will be emailed instructions on how to register prior to your arrival. It is vital that you register as soon as possible so that you can access the University network and have a timetable.
Orientation week
International and EU students have an Orientation programme which is arranged by International Office to help you find your way around the University and the city. Read more about Orientation Week.
Induction week
All students are required to attend an academic induction week; the programme for this week will be emailed nearer the time.
