Would you like to meet other students in a friendly environment? Then the SLAS Global Cafe is for you. Here, you will meet students from other countries and gain confidence in speaking under the guidance of the Learning Support Tutors. 

Global Cafe will be back in September. If you have any ideas for new topics or would like to be a guest or volunteer for future Global Cafes please email jennifer.sizer@port.ac.uk

Details:

The first 15 minutes usually involve welcomes/registrations and getting drinks etc. (free tea and coffee)

The next 30 minutes usually involve discussion on the topic of the day with conversation pieces e.g. pictures and guest provided artifacts e.g. books/videos.

The final 15 minutes usually involve an informal Q&A session with special guests.
