This year’s Horace Hockley award, for considerable and long-term contributions to the field of technical communications, has been given to Ian Kemble from the School of Languages and Area Studies.
Awarded by the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators (ISTC), this prize recognises Ian’s commitment to the field. He is currently course leader for the Master’s courses in Technical Communication and in Translation and Technical Communication, and was nominated to the shortlist by three graduates from these courses.
“I’m delighted by the prize,” says Ian, “ because it is recognition for the hugely collaborative nature of our work with a range of partners from within and outside the University."
