Profile
Carol O'Sullivan studied modern languages and literatures (Italian and French) at Trinity College Dublin and then at the University of Cambridge. As a translator Carol has worked principally in the literary and academic fields. She was the joint winner with Martin Thom of the 2006 John Florio prize for literary translation, for their translation of Kuraj by Silvia di Natale (Bloomsbury, 2005). She is a member of the Centre for European and International Studies Research.
Member of:
Translators Association (Society of Authors); International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies; European Association for Studies in Screen Translation. I am a member of the Board of the European Society for Translation Studies.
