Profile
Background
I am currently a full-time MPhil student, researching the area of breast biomechanics. I graduated from the undergraduate BSc in Sport and exercise Science here at Portsmouth in 2008. Following on from this I stayed on at Portsmouth to complete the MSc Sports Performance, which I have just completed in September 2009. I am now fortunate enough to continue studying within an area that is under researched, providing the grounds for new up and coming research projects.
Research Interests
Coming from a multidiscipline degree background I am interested in the impact many variables can have on sports performance. Currently I am working towards my MPhil within the established Research Group in Breast Health. My MPhil focuses on the impact breast supports have on running performance, specifically investigating changes in biomechanical, physiological and psychological measures that could impact running performance. I presented my undergraduate dissertation at the BASES student conference in 2009, where I was awarded the runner up Student Conference Applied Research Postgraduate Award.
