Profile

Background

With a BSc Sport Science from the University of Brighton and an MSc Sport Psychology from the University of Roehampton, I am currently a PhD researcher through the Department of Sport and Exercise Science.  Outside of academia, I am passionate about delivering sport psychology in applied settings through my roles at a professional football club, amateur boxing club and numerous private clients via www.DeliverYourAbility.com

Research Interests

My primary research interest is in the integration of individual athletes into elite sports teams, particularly professional footballers joining new clubs.  My research focuses on the experiences of players, coaches, management, family and agents during the process of induction into an existing team and organisation.  The primary aim is to identify the skills and processes required to optimally integrate new players most quickly and effectively from the perspectives of; the individual player, team, staff and organisation.
