Background
Dr Jenny Page is a senior lecturer in sport and exercise psychology. She obtained her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from Chichester University and her PhD from Liverpool University (2009). Jenny is also a BPS Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist and is BASES accredited in scientific support (Psychology). Jenny has worked as a sport psychology consultant with, amongst others, the Warrington Wolves RFL academies and scholarship teams, National gymnasts, the ASA, and FA referees.
Teaching Responsibilities
Jenny currently teaches sport psychology and related subjects on our undergraduate and postgraduate degree pathways. She is unit coordinator for Psychology of Skill Development and Performance (Year 2) and Applied Skill Acquisition and Expertise (Year 3) and also teaches on other sport psychology units as well as supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and research projects.
Research Interests
Jenny's research focuses on visual attention and eye movements. Her most recent projects have included the development and effectiveness of a perceptual training programme for coaches and judges in gymnastics, and the identification of surveillance patterns of lifeguards. Jenny is currently co-supervising one PhD student and one MPhil student, both of whom are using eye-movement measures.
