Background

I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2002 with BSc (Hons) in Sports Science and shortly afterwards starting working within the Department of Sport and Exercise as a Laboratory Technician. Whilst working within the Department I studied part time and in 2007 graduated with an MSc in Enhancing and Maintaining Sporting Performance. I am also a level 2 ISAK accredited Anthropometrist. Responsibilities

My role as a lab technician involves supporting academics, research staff and students with all aspects of exercise testing within the physiology laboratories. This includes organising and setting up equipment for teaching classes and research, calibrating, maintenance and repair of equipment as well as helping with researching new equipment to enhance the existing facilities.I am also the Health and Safety co-ordinator for the department.
