School research

The School has a well developed research culture and a strong commitment to publication.  We believe that our healthy research environment combined with a commitment to research-inspired teaching makes the School a great place to undertake academic study, whether earning a PhD or furthering a doctoral career.

All our subject areas are attached to the Centre for European and International Studies Research (CEISR), which received a rating of '5' in the last national Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), or the newly established Centre for Studies in Literature (CSL).  Interdisciplinary work is welcomed.
