Profile
Martin is Senior Lecturer in Sociology and the Year Tutor for first year Sociology undergraduates. Martin is responsible for the development and delivery of first year core units in the acquisition of academic and research skills in the social sciences. In addition to Sociology, Martin has wide experience of teaching and research across a range of academic disciplines including Politics, Public Policy and Social Policy and Administration and this experience is reflected in his substantive teaching which focuses on poverty, social exclusion and homelessness. Martin also offers a third year optional unit called ‘Urban Sociology’.
