Profile
Ian is a Senior Lecturer in Journalism and a year three tutor. His academic background is the study of History and Politics and he has 20 years experience as a journalist. The first five of these years were spent crafting his trade at the Financial Times, whilst also working on a freelance basis for other national newspapers. Since then, he has been running his own financial news company, specialising in major economic and political issues.
The units Ian delivers include Government, International Relations and Ethics. He is also particularly interested in researching the role of the media in influencing public opinion and looking at the power of the press in the internet age.
