Profile

Gill is a shorthand tutor on the Journalism degree courses.  After time spent on the stage and following a career as an officer in the Merchant Navy, Gill re-qualified and spent time in the commercial world as a Human Resources Manager and Consultant.  During this time she also formulated and delivered training courses in a number of shorthand systems, including Pitman Classic, Pitman New Era and Pitman 2000, as well as Teeline shorthand, the preferred system for journalists.  Gill is also a trained graphologist.  She is a Chartered Member and graduate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
