The Archimedes Group - Peer learning for Entrepreneurs

Wondering about the next step for your business? How to create sustainable growth? Looking for the best way to recruit help?

This autumn, as part of the Portsmouth Entrepreneur Alumni Network, the Centre for Enterprise is launching a new ‘action learning set’ for start up entrepreneurs. Meeting monthly in Portsmouth and open to owners of early stage businesses the Archimedes group will tackle pressing issues that you share in common by tapping into the knowledge held in the group. The process is facilitated and will identify common issues and help you answer them in a structured way.

We are currently looking for business owners interested in joining the group. As the group is aimed at early stage business from a wide variety of sectors we would be looking for businesses which typically:

  • Started in the last three years
  • Employ 1-5 people
  • Looking to grow

Belonging to the group requires an undertaking to attend all the eight sessions which will be scheduled at monthly intervals as continuity and trust are fundamental to any peer learning situation.

Meetings will be held on a weekday evening between 17:30 and 19:30 at Purple Door, Guildhall Walk.

We are looking for expressions of interest to attend the first meeting in October. Please email enterprise@port.ac.uk if you would like to participate.
