Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI)
CCI Admissions Centre
The Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) Admissions Centre is responsible for assisting with all aspects of admission to the Faculty's undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.
Our friendly and helpful staff are here to advise you with every step of your application, from the initial stages through to completion.
Finding the right course[Back to top]
The Admissions Centre can offer advice about entry requirements to the courses offered in CCI. They can also give you advice about your personal statement and any requirements for interviews or portfolio submission. You can also contact them for advice about deadline dates and making a late or deferred application.
Opportunities to visit[Back to top]
The University offers opportunities to visit and find out more during the undergraduate Preview Days. But if you are unable to make a scheduled Preview Day, the admissions centre may be able to help you with information about alternatives.
There are also opportunities to find out more about the postgraduate courses offered by visiting us during one of the Postgraduate Information Days.
Making an application[Back to top]
Undergraduate – Applications to our undergraduate courses should be made through UCAS. The advisory date for applications (to ensure equal consideration) is 15th January, or for Art and Design courses, 24th March. For more information about how to apply please contact UCAS.
Postgraduate – Applications to our postgraduate courses can be made online or by requesting a form from the Admissions Centre.
Research – Applications to research degrees can be made by going to our How to Apply page and downloading an application form. You will also find advice here about completing a research application. Alternatively you can contact the admissions centre and request an application form and information about what to include.
Getting a decision[Back to top]
Once you've submitted an application the admissions centre team will be the people to contact should you have any queries or concerns. They may also contact you should they require any additional information or to arrange an interview for example. Once they have all the information required and you have gone through any additional requirements (i.e portfolio interview, performing arts workshop) the admissions centre will send you confirmation of any decision and any other appropriate additional information (including invitations to open days).
Above all remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question. The admissions centre staff understand that for many people this will be the first experience they have had of making a university application. So if in doubt, give them a call or contact them using the details below.
