20M EU Interreg Research Project

The University of Portsmouth Logistics and Management Mathematics Research Group (LMMG), which includes Dr Dylan Jones, Dr Xiang Song, Dr Graham Wall and Dr Djamila Ouelhadj, have secured a third consecutive success in securing EU funding for a research project. The research project will be focused primarily on the logistics of off-shore windfarms, comparative to the Thanet Offshore Wind Farm (pictured right).
The University of Portsmouth is to be one of the three major University partners in the 20M EU Interreg Project, along with other institutions, the University of Le Havre and University of Plymouth, that will also be contributing to the research project.
It has been noted that the University of Portsmouth is to receive a respectable level of research funding and will be an optimal opportunity to promote the expertise of our research in logistics and management mathematics to external partners, affiliates and internal staff.
The initial project meeting will be held in Le Havre on the 12th of July, 2012 where the formalities for the project will be discussed in detail.
