SPEC Team

Our Student Employability and Enterprise Officer builds relationships with existing and prospective employers, and our Student Placement and Employability Administrator will be administering the placement process as a whole, from advertisement, through to post placement follow-up with students.

Working closely with staff at Purple Door, we are able to help students with the process of finding and gaining work experience of any kind, and providing opportunities for them to develop the skills that employers are looking for. This might include help with:

  • Placements
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Internships
  • Recruitment and selection processes
  • Promoting/hosting events - graduate recruitment fairs, employer visits etc
  • Encouraging students to take up opportunities within the faculty and across the university, to build and showcase their enterprise skills
