Student Placements – Student Placement Scheme

Students from our schools/departments can offer skills and knowledge to your organisation in one of the following areas:

  • School of Civil Engineering and Surveying runs fully accredited courses in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Management, Quantity Surveying and Property Development. The School has close links with the RICS and ICE, and graduates from its courses are employed in built environment roles around the world.
  • School of Computing prides itself on the range of skills covered by their taught programmes, doctoral and academic research. From traditional core competencies in computer science and software engineering to the application of technology in business, education and our society to emerging markets in web technologies and digital forensics, our students have a breadth and depth of experience to make their transition into a placement role effectively and efficiently.
  • School of Engineering specialises in a range of subjects including electronic engineering, computer engineering, control and automation, telecommunications, data communications, computer networks and Internet technology, mechanical engineering, mechanical & manufacturing engineering, product design and petroleum engineering.

Our students have made significant contributions to their placement companies and each year a number of students are offered jobs after graduation. Recently a Business Information Systems student won the Microsoft UK intern of the year, facing competition from ninety-three other interns. He was commended for his capability, helpfulness and innovation.
