Profile
I am engaged in research in theoretical cosmology, with particular interest in the origin and evolution of structure in the Universe. My expertise is in the study of the cosmic microwave background (CMB), radiation left over from the big bang, which has now cooled to 3K.
One focus of my research is in the field of dark energy, which is the mysterious substance which is causing the expansion rate of the Universe to accelerate. With collaborators, we have been examining how it can lead to the creation of anisotropies in the CMB. My other interests include the origins of galactic spin and magnetic fields in the early Universe.
