The Maths Cafe offers all students, on any course, free help in understanding and improving their maths and statistical skills. Students can drop in at a number of locations all over campus for one-to-one support or visit the Maths Cafe Centre. Handouts and details of online resources on key topics are also available. Computing Tutor Centre
The School of Computing Tutor Centre provides a one-stop academic help and support resource for all School of Computing students. They offer their students daily support in academic work, common project-related issues, computing-specific skills and revision. Find out more

The Learning Support Services offered by the School of Engineering, are additional to the normal academic support provided at all levels within the University. Their surgeries offer support to their students in the areas such as computing and electronics technology. Find out more

The Learning Support Tutor provides additional learning support for all students in the Faculty of Technology with their specific academic needs. Tailored support sessions for a small group or individual could be arranged by appointments. Find out more
Student Placement & Employability Centre (SPEC)
Industrial placements are a key feature of the undergraduate degrees in the Faculty of Technology. Many of our full-time undergraduate programmes incorporate either a mandatory or optional placement year.
