Alan Collins BSc (Bradford) MSc (Salford) PGCE (Hull) Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport
Alan is Professor of Economics and Head of the Economics and Finance Subject Group. He teaches a wide range of subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, his teaching interests including Environmental Economics and Policy, Managerial Economics, Social Economics, Transport Economics, and Cultural Economics.
Alan is an active researcher in a number of fields, the most significant of which are environmental and natural resource economics, transport economics, and social and cultural economics. He is also on the executive board of the Association of Cultural Economics International (ACEI). More information is available at: www.culturaleconomics.org

He is also the co-author (with Sam Cameron) of: Playing the Love Market: Dating, Romance and the Real World (2000) and editor of Cities of Pleasure: Sex and the Urban Socialscape (2006), published by Routledge.
