Judith Rich BEc Hons (Monash) MEc (Monash) PhD Economics (Monash)

Judith Rich is a Reader at the Portsmouth Business School, University of Portsmouth, U.K. She teaches at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, including macroeconomics, microeconomics, labour economics and supervising independent studies.

Judith is an active researcher whose interests are experimental economics, particularly field and natural experiments; discrimination in markets; efficiency wage theory and occupational sex segregation. She has published in all these areas in a wide range of academic journals such as Advances in Economic Analysis and Policy, Economic Journal, Cambridge Journal of Economics, Economica, Feminist Economics, Kyklos and Review of Social Economy. Recent publications are Encyclopedia of Race and Racism 2nd edition forthcoming 2012, Annals de Economie et Statistique 2010, Labour 2008, Asian Economic Journal 2008. She has collaborated on research undertaking the first experimental investigations of age and sexual discrimination in the English labour market. The study on sexual discrimination has been published in Advances in Economic Analysis and Policy (2006), the one on age discrimination in Annals de Economie et Statistique (2010).
