Dr Nor Ashmiza Mahamed Ismail – PhD, PGCert, MBA, BA (Hons), Dip.
Ash joined the University of Portsmouth in 2009 as a PTHP lecturer. She is now a full time lecturer in Human Resources and Organisational Studies group. Prior to joining the University, Ash worked for almost eight years in Malaysia, where she has gained both academic and commercial experiences.
Research Interests
Ash’s main research interest lies in the area of knowledge management. Her PhD entitled “Key Determinants of Research-Knowledge Sharing in UK Higher Education Institutions” was looking at the nature and the process of research-knowledge sharing among academics in UK Pre-1992 and Post-1992 universities, which influence the university research performance. It also looked at the role of research-leaders in promoting and encouraging research-knowledge sharing. Ash is interested to look at the role of knowledge management from HR perspectives. She is currently a member of Business Education Research Group (BERG) at the University, particularly under Knowledge Management and Organisational Learning cluster.
