Fiona Goss - BSc Hons Sociology (Portsmouth)
Before joining Portsmouth University in 1994, as a researcher, I ran a small business making replica medieval encaustic tiles being responsible for production, marketing and selling these to various outlets in the South. Whilst at Portsmouth University, I have held a range of managerial roles within the Business Management and Human Resource Management programmes. In 2002, I became Director of Undergraduate Business Degree Programmes within HRMM, responsible for programmes run in the UK and overseas.
Teaching
Primary lecturing responsibilities cover Research Methods at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Managing Equality and Diversity and Organisational Behaviour. I have also been involved in the development and teaching of a number of units, including final year Work Based Learning Project, Independent Study Project and the Independent Research and Study Project. I supervise dissertations at both undergraduate and postgraduate students on a range of degrees in the business area.
Research Interests
Research interests are focused around two areas, Disability at work and currently Women and the Menopause.
