Profile

Lynn Day

Lynn Day started her working career as a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Air Force, enjoying a short service commission during which she was introduced to information systems and technology.  Using this experience, she then had a full and varied international career working mainly in the UK, Europe and the United States, principally as an information systems specialist but also as a general business consultant. 

Lynn finally joined the University in 2004.  She currently lectures in information systems, information strategy, systems thinking and other diverse areas such as leadership and management and general business environments.  She has been course leader for undergraduate part-time programmes in Leadership and Management, has co-ordinated a number of units, is active in supporting disabled students within the Faculty and has previously acted as the Faculty Widening Participation Co-ordinator. 

Lynn’s research interests include information systems, systems thinking and education and is currently undertaking a PhD.  She is a a member of the UK Systems Society and  holds an MSc in Information Systems, with Distinction from the  University of Hertfordshire.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, walking her 2 dogs and trying to catch her 4 lively Degus who have become accomplished escape artists!
