Andrea Foley BA (Hons), MSc, PGCE, FHEA

Andrea is a senior lecturer in the Business School.  Her area of teaching is Quality Management at postgraduate, undergraduate and foundation level and she is the Course Leader (Distance Learning) for the MSc Strategic Quality Management. E-learning is an important activity for distance learning students and she is very involved with the development of e-learning.

Her professional background is in Quality and Risk Management in financial services and insurance plus experience as an external Quality Assessor ('Lead Quality Auditor') with an international certification body. She was a specialist auditor in a range of sectors and activities such as software ('Lead TickIT Auditor'), financial services, recruitment agencies, training providers and management consulting.

Andrea's research interest is in pedagogy and in particular, the learning experience of postgraduate distance learning students and the development of e-learning to enrich students' learning experience. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
