Chris Milner

Following many years in industry and private consultancy in roles relating to strategic and operations management, Chris Milner completed first a Master of Business Administration and then a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning & Teaching whilst transitioning from the private sector into his university role.   Having joined Portsmouth Business School in 2009, he is now a full time member of the Operations Management team, specialising in lean synchronisation, improvement and creativity; which is where his research and consulting work is focused.

Chris has presented at international conferences in the UK and Greece, and is well known to engage students with his lively and inclusive lecturing style, innovative seminar activities, and application through interesting and diverse organisational cases.

When not in the lecture theatre or conducting research, Chris likes to spend time with his two daughters, keeps fit though regular visits to the gym and the study of martial arts, and enjoys hacking a ball round numerous golf courses with colleagues and friends.
