PhD Supervision

David is interested in discussing PhD studentships with those keen to investigate the business impact of cloud computing and cloud-based ERP systems, particularly those that are SAP-based (such as SAP Business ByDesign). He is also keen to assist doctoral candidates wishing to extend the pedagogies of learning & teaching in the areas of technology enhanced active learning, the application of flipped classrooms, and the coaching of students in place of tutor-centred learning.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

David has been involved with one KTP Project at CEGA that involved working with an Associate undertaking requirements gathering for a new IT system.

From Spring 2013, companies interested in moving to cloud-based ERP and wishing to get an appreciation of the capabilities of the SAP Business ByDesign suite should contact David for a discussion.

Those interested in applying screencasting, podcasting, and video in training programmes using TechSmith software products can contact David with a view to his running ‘train the trainer’ short courses in this area. The university runs a Camtasia Relay server piloted by PBS and adopted university wide for session capture and the development of flipped classroom/distance learning courses.
