Dr Sara Thorne MSc (Southampton), BSc Hons (Southampton),FHEA, FSyI, MCMI
Sara joined the Business School in 2007 as a Senior Lecturer in Risk and Project Management. In 2008 she became Course Leader for the MSc Risk Management programme.
Sara has expertise in crisis management, business continuity and anti-terrorism and is actively engaged in research within these areas. Links between risk and quality management are also a growing area of her research. Her PhD is in the area of crisis and anti-terrorism management, considering how conceptual approaches may help to improve resilience within organisations.
Sara has been involved with several projects to improve crisis and risk management within several Higher Education establishments and also SMEs.
