In recognition of her contribution to sales education, a lecturer at the Business School has been appointed to the Academic Senate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Beth Rogers runs the MA Sales Management programme at the Business School. She will join the body of 20 which advises CIM on education and research.

Other members of the CIM Academic Senate include many of the UK’s leading Professors in Marketing, including members of the 2008 Business and Management RAE Panel, as well as senior business and industry representatives.

The CIM’s Chief Executive, Rod Wilkes, said: "I am delighted to welcome Beth Rogers on to the CIM Academic Senate. She has an outstanding reputation for her contribution to sales education and for the development of National Occupational Standards for sales and sales research that is accessible to practitioners."

Beth chaired the UK National Sales Board for four years until 2009 and is an advisor to the committee of the Global Sales Science Institute.

Beth’s recent involvement with industry includes applied research for AshfieldIn2Focus (a subsidiary of United Drug Plc) and E-on, in-company workshops for sales managers and implementation support for key account management.
