A director of the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) who is leading an initiative to create thousands of new jobs in the south will be speaking at the Portsmouth Business School Postgraduate Open Evening on Wednesday 5th September.
Gary Jeffries, who holds an MBA from University of Portsmouth, is also managing director of Fareham-based Hughes Ellard, the Solent region’s largest independent commercial real estate consultancy.
He will be discussing the new major employment-led regeneration project, the Solent Enterprise Zone, which aims to create 10,000 new jobs in the local area by 2026. The LEP, a locally-owned partnership between businesses and local authorities focused on driving economic growth and the creation of local jobs, is currently redeveloping a site in Lee-on-the-Solent into a business park with a marine, aviation and aerospace focus. The companies will benefit from government subsidies and superfast broadband.
The postgraduate evening, which is free of charge, is being held to provide people who are interested in improving their career prospects with the opportunity to meet academics and current students in an informal and friendly environment.
The Portsmouth Business School Postgraduate Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 5th September from 5 till 7:30pm at The Richmond Building, Portland Street, Portsmouth PO1 3DE.
