Information for applicants who will be under 18 at the start of term
You have reached this page because you have been offered a place at the University and will be under the age of 18 at the start of the course.
The university is committed to the safety and well-being of all its students and recognises the particular needs of those who will be under the age of 18 on entry. Being such a student, you would be considered a minor under UK law and, with this in mind, we would like to ask you to read our policy for the admission and support of students entering the university which can be found on page 11 of the Admissions Code of Practice.
What to do next
- Download the Parental/Guardian Consent Form. You should ask your parent or guardian to complete the form and return it to us by fax, e-mail attachment or post. Contact details can be found at the end of this e-mail.
- If your parents are resident outside of the UK you will also need to appoint a UK guardian and to do this you should also complete the Form to Appoint a UK Guardian. If you do not have friends or relatives in the UK who could act as a guardian, please contact The Association of Education Guardians for International Students www.aegisuk.net who will be able to assist you.
It is essential that we receive the completed form(s) before you start your course, otherwise you will not be allowed to register.
Should you require any further information or any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing admissions@port.ac.uk.
