Collaborative Students

Students studying at a Partner Institution



As a student studying a University of Portsmouth programme through one of our Collaborative Partners in the UK or Overseas, we welcome you to the University of Portsmouth.

The University of Portsmouth has a strong tradition of successfully delivering collaborative programmes and supporting students through global partner institutions. A list of programmes and partner institutions can be found here

What is a collaborative programme?

At the University of Portsmouth, we define a collaborative programme as a programme of study which is delivered and/or supported by a partner institution which leads to a University of Portsmouth award. This means that upon successful completion of your studies you will be awarded a University of Portsmouth degree.

Library access

All collaborative students are entitled to access the online Library services which can be used to source a wide range of information to support your studies, including electronic books and journals, databases and websites. You will be sent details of how to apply upon registration.


Students who complete their collaborative programme may attend the University of Portsmouth's graduation ceremony which is held annually in the summer.  Some institutions hold their own graduation ceremonies so please contact the University Graduation Office to confirm where the graduation ceremony for your institution partner will be held.

Parchments and Transcripts of Study

Upon successful completion of your studies we will issue you with a Parchment, printed on watermarked parchment paper with the University crest, and a Transcript of Study. These will be sent to you via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery, either to your home address or to your institution. If you have lost or damaged your parchment we can issue a replacement parchment which costs £35. To request a replacement parchment please complete the Replacement and Verification of Award form. To request a replacement of your Transcripts of Study please email 

Verification of Awards

Formal verification of your University of Portsmouth award can be provided by a Letter of Verification which are issued without charge. To request a Letter of Verification please complete the Replacement and Verification of Award form.

Certified copies of original award parchments

If you require a stamped and certified copy of your award parchment you need to send a scanned copy of your original parchment to with an address to where you want the certified copy to be sent to for issue by post. There is currently no charge for this service. Alternatively you can send a photocopy to the Collaborative Partnerships Office, Department of Student and Academic Administration, Mercantile House, Hampshire Terrace, Portsmouth, PO1 2EG
