Memoranda Guidance, Processes and Approval Forms
The term ‘Student Exchange’ is used to describe an arrangement where students choose to, or are required to as part of their course, study at a Partner Institution (PI). Student exchanges are usually on a one-for-one basis, typically for one teaching block or one full academic year. Exchange students pay tuition fees to their home institution and none to the host institution.
International Student Exchange partnerships should not be confused with Erasmus Student Exchange partnerships, which are covered by the Erasmus Charter and are managed by the Exchanges and Study Abroad Team (Exchanges Team) in the International Office.
