Informal alumni drinks in Birmingham

A small group of alumni from in and around Birmingham joined Sophie and Emma from the Alumni Relations and Development team for a drink in August.
One graduate attended Portsmouth Polytechnic back in the 1970s, a few had graduated in the nineties and the rest had left the University in the last twelve years.
The group included a Consultant Radiographer and a Detective Constable Intelligence Officer, which made for very interesting conversation throughout the evening.
Former distance learning student Patrick said: "Thanks to everyone for organising a very pleasant evening, I really enjoyed it! I was initially hesitant to attend because I wasn't sure what the benefit would be but am happy I went. There was a good mix of students from a number of departments and I look forward to attending more alumni events in future."
